TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught and tutored in public and private schools for more than 30 years. Grade levels have ranged from Kindergarten to grade 10. Skill areas have been reading, language arts, math, science, Special Education, and computer skills.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Hands on and multi-sensory, project based education, focusing on individualized instruction.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
Teacher of the Year Lubrizol Award in NorthEast Ohio in 2006, for my project raising chickens in the classroom.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
Undergraduate education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Masters degree from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. Learning Disabilities certification from Kent State University. Courses in Technology from Cleveland State University and Lake Erie College.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I have loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I am married. My husband and I raised two daughters. We have six grandchildren and 3 cats. Now I am finding the time to make paintings and use them to make the teaching materials I wanted to make years ago.
